Set on an elevated acreage block in Gunnedah, this 379m² custom home was designed to capture the surrounding views while creating a comfortable, modern space for family living.
The layout centres around open-plan living that connects seamlessly to outdoor entertaining areas, with large windows and a raked ceiling drawing in natural light and enhancing the sense of space. A pool positioned at the front of the home takes full advantage of the outlook, becoming a key feature of both the design and the lifestyle it supports.
Inside, the home combines clean lines with warm, natural finishes. Custom VJ panel cabinetry, marble detailing in the bathrooms, and carefully placed windows all contribute to a cohesive, modern country feel.
Built on a steep site with BAL 40 requirements, the project required careful planning from the outset. The design was adjusted to reduce earthworks, while compliant materials, fire protection measures, and an engineered septic system were integrated to suit the site conditions.
Completed over 11 months, the result is a well-resolved home that balances functionality, finish, and connection to its surroundings, creating a space that feels both considered and easy to live in.
